Eagle’s Nest and Turkey Vulture Vomit

We wrapped up Winged Hunters unit this month by studying Turkey Vultures and Eagles! Turkey vultures are fascinating birds. They will actually use vomit as one of  their defense mechanisms. In class, the students made edible turkey vomit to take home!

We ended class by having all 70 students hike out to Emmott Circle, where they created a large Eagles nest together. We attached some pictures for you to enjoy!

We will have one week off before we begin our Weather Watchers unit on November 30th. Thank you!
